Barter Queen

How it works

Barter Queen is for people in the United Kingdom — a UK postcode is needed to join.

  1. List what you don't need, and say what you'd like back. This could be something as simple as loo roll or dishwasher tablets.
  2. People within your locality comment or suggest a barter publicly.
  3. You can ask questions publicly, and move to a private chat when wanting to proceed.
  4. Agree the swap, meet safely, mark it complete.

How long barters stay up

Barters stay live for 30 days to keep the local feed fresh. We'll remind you 7 days before it ends, and you can renew it with one tap. Expired barters move to My barters, where you can renew or remove them.

Stay safe

Ideally meet in busy public places, bring a friend for larger items, and use report and block whenever something feels wrong.

Inspect items before swapping.

Your location stays private

Your full postcode is never shown publicly. Everything you see is within 5 miles of your first or second postcode, keeping swaps truly local. You can choose to share an address in private chat.
